  9. Take homemade coconut milk

  12. Make ready green chillies finely chopped
  13. Take curry leaves
  14. Get sugar
  15. Take lemon juice
  16. Take cornflour dissolved in 4 tbsp water
  17. Take Salt
  18. Take To serve.

Instructions to make Coconut Kadhi Idli:
  1. Grease mini idlis mould with oil. Add salt to taste in fermented idli batter, mix gently. With spoon add 1-1 tsp of idli batter in idli moulds. Steam for 12-15 mins in idli cooker or pressure cooker.
  2. To prepare coconut milk..add coconut pieces in mixer jar,add 300 ml water(1 glass) of water and grind to smooth mixture. Place thin cloth on container,on it pour grinded coconut mixture,make bundle of cloth and squeeze out coconut milk(thick milk).. with hand.. keep aside.Again grind the coconut mixture (remaining from squeezing) in mixer jar with150 ml of water, repeat the same process of squeezing coconut milk on another container (this will thin milk).. keep aside.
  3. In small bowl add cornflour, mix water and dissolved to smooth mixture.Keep aside.
  4. In non stick kadhai,add & heat oil. Add cummin seeds,as it splutter add chopped green chillies, curry leaves.
  5. Add coconut milk (thick), salt to taste,sugar, lemon juice and cornflour water, mix and simmer for 1-2 mins on medium flame. Off the flame and keep aside.(If the kadhi is too thick,then add thin coconut milk..to get right consistency of kadhi).
  6. Remove the hot Idlis from idli moulds. In long bamboo sticks pierce 8-10 mini idlis.
  7. Place one of this prepared Idlis stick in glass,pour hot prepared coconut kadhi on it..fill the glass upto 3/4 th. Serve immediately. Similarly prepared all.
  8. Or in deep round plate add laddle full of hot coconut kadhi, arrange 10-12 mini idlis and pour 1-2 laddle full of hot coconut kadhi. Serve immediately.
